Paramount Services has won the Sustainability category of the Westpac New Zealand Franchise Awards 2023 presented in Auckland on 11 November. Company founder and Chairman Galvin Bartlett has been a pioneer of environmental initiatives in commercial cleaning including recycling systems, reducing waste to landfill, saving power usage and adopting environmentally friendly cleaning products.
Paramount continues to develop more sustainable cleaning methods, and to look for ways to reducing the environmental footprint of the company, our franchisees, and our clients. Today, Paramount has introduced organic waste recycling and is championing EV vehicles and charging points throughout our network.

The award judges said, “This was an outstanding submission and Paramount Services appears to be totally on top of their sustainability strategy.”

The judges were particularly impressed with our approach to sourcing low carbon cleaning products and negotiating with clients to support cleaners receiving a living wage.
And we were finalists in four other award categories
Rajan Patel, Field Manager of the Year – Over $500K

Rajan works with 93 franchisees nationwide ensuring they meet the contract requirements of key accounts Westpac, Regus, Rangitoto College, ACG School and Dilworth School.

The judges said: “It was great to see testimonials from franchisees on how Rajan is adding value to their businesses. Well done on the high performance.”

Romita Patel & Vinel Kumar, Franchisee of the Year – Small Business

Sole trader Romita cleans the homes of 10 NZ Defence Force veterans during the day and 11 company sites at night with help from husband Vinel as well as training new Paramount Services franchisees.

Bin Yang and Mandy Kang, Franchisee of the Year – Business to Business
