ANZCO Foods Canterbury in Ashburton is officially the cleanest industrial space or manufacturing facility in the country after Paramount Services won the CleanSweep Awards from cleaning industry body Building Service Contractors of New Zealand.

It takes a dedicated crew to clean up the cafeteria and washrooms of one of New Zealand’s largest meat processing plants as 1,000 staff rotate through their shifts from 6am through to midnight seven days a week – and to win high praise from the company.

But Paramount Services franchisee Jignesh Soni, his site supervisor Ashish Ghevania and Paramount South Island regional manager Rachael Cameron have done just that and more to win a CleanSweep Award, the most prestigious cleaning industry award.

ANZCO Foods Canterbury’s Seafield Road plant in Ashburton is an extremely tough environment to keep clean to the very high hygiene standards required of food exporters.

Since taking over the cleaning of administration and ancillary buildings at ANZCO Foods Canterbury in late 2014, Jignesh and his team have greatly impressed ANZCO with their responsiveness, client communication, innovation and food safety compliance.

“Paramount Services have provided a seamless transition when commencing contracted cleaning services here at ANZCO Foods Canterbury,” says ANZCO Foods Technical Manager Craig Fowles. “These guys took over just over 12 months ago and it’s been 12 months of absolute pleasure. The vertical support through this process was superb and the structure has resulted in consistently high levels of cleaning services across the plant. Paramount provides a wonderful service.

“Our mission is to provide world class meat products around the globe and these guys support that day in and day out. Whenever an issue may arise the speed of the response is excellent. Day-to-day attention to detail is also to an extremely high level. The overall service provided allows us to concentrate on our core business with the reassurance that plant cleaning is being managed effectively.”

Rachael Cameron says Ash Ghevania has earned himself the nickname “Wonder Boy” at ANZCO for the speed with which he gets onto and resolves issues. For a food processing company like ANZCO compliance in every aspect of their operations, including cleaning is critical.

Paramount Services’ focus on quality assurance systems including its closed loop process for all jobs and complaints so that no issue is closed until the client is satisfied combined with Ashish’s speedy response to issues has halved the workload of ANZCO Compliance auditor Cristeena Wilson in relation to cleaning.
